Chocolate Waffles

I wasn’t sure about chocolate waffles, years ago, even though, I love chocolate and waffles. I thought, why not combine the two? I wonder if chocolate waffles would be any good? How about I ditch pure maple syrup, and re-place it with strawberry butter and/or strawberry syrup, instead? I have to say, it’s even better than pure maple syrup, believe it or not. Even eating these waffles with only strawberry butter is very good!

Chocolate Waffles Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 3 teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 cup milk
• 2 large eggs
• 4 tablespoons butter, soften
• ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Step 1: Combine flour, baking Sosa, brown sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, milk, eggs, butter in a large bowl and mix well with a hand mixer until it’s a thick consistency.

Step 2: Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot with maple syrup. I’ve had chocolate syrup with strawberry syrup and strawberry butter. It’s surprisingly really good!!
